This is my favorite time of the year. I love the trees and bushes changing colors, the crisp air and the overall calm in fall.

I am so thankful for our Orange Nickel family and knowing there are so many of us looking out for each other. Isn't it wonderful to know in times of hardship, and times of joy we can share with each other?!

All of us at one time or another wonder if anyone cares about us and knows what is going on in our lives. We all have "days" or sometimes even "weeks" that we look for a familiar face that welcomes our friendship. Take the time in your life to make a connection, smile, give a compliment and show concern for those you love. As you do you will be blessed and your needs will be amazingly met themselves. Remember the Holiday seasons can be more stressful. Be aware of the needs around you, help where you can and give love and encouragement to the rest.

Thanksgiving

At this wonderful time of year, take a few minutes or even an hour and write down all the things you are thankful for. I know you hear this a lot, but really take the time this year to follow through. Dont think through your daily list in your head, write down 100 things you are thankful for.

Use this list to help you remember what is important and help on your sad, overwhelmed, nothing going right days.

Have a wonderful holiday with those you love.

What do you Love?

I think that everyone has a passion, sometimes it is just buried underneath all our "other stuff" for awhile.

I don't care if you have a job, business, and/or a full time mom. If you are not doing something you love on a weekly basis, you are going to burn out soon. Do you love to sing, play racketball, sit in a quiet spot and do nothing? Do you enjoy reading, wearing red boots, cooking? WHAT???

Ask those you are closest to what you are good at. Sometimes we have a passion we don't realize we have. We are good at something and take it for granted it is a gift, talent or passion.

What did you enjoy doing as a teenager? What did you want as a career during high school? Are any of these giving you a clue?

Finding what you love is one of your first steps.

Market and Financial Concerns

I was talking to a mom yesterday and she was very concerned about what is going on in the markets now. She has been wanting to come home to work but doesn't know how, what, or when is the best timing. I told her a little about our Blog and she is excited about reading ideas and interviews to gain the confidence to start a business from home. She will work her way out of her job as her income from her "kitchen table" increases. I am finding moms all over with these same concerns. I am so excited to be a small part in helping her, you and those you tell about us here at Orange Nickel.

So it is 4:30 am and I can't sleep. I keep thinking about our interviews and I get so excited I can't sit still let alone sleep.

One of the great advantages of working from your Kitchen Table is being able to work in your PJ's. I find that if I get showered and dressed for the day it is to easy to find an excuse to leave, run errands, or find a friend to go to lunch with. If I stay in my PJ's I get more done as it will take to long to get "dolled up" for my excursions.

A disadvantage of working in PJ's is that I forget there are cute clothes in my closet. I think there is a time and place for PJ's and there is a time and place for looking like someone others can trust as a business women. So...

I am thinking of having a fashion show. You can send in your "little twirl" picture of your fancy "doing business" outfit. Whether it is a pair of jeans and fancy jewelry or a business suit. This will give all you new business mom's an idea of what others are wearing during their social contact.

I am so excited to announce the "Oh Sweet Sadie" art and gift show. I have been to several of thier events and they are so fun. I love to go and visit, buy great stuff, and get good ideas. I am a long time friend of Dani Lassiter and think she is amazing. It is great to see her and her partner Heidi Loewen adding a slice to their life, Making Money Doing what they Love. I have seen Dani working from her kitchen table with kids running all over and taking care of business. It is great!!!

What is Orange Nickel?

Have you ever thought about starting, building or growing your own business? How many times have you thought about working from home to be with your family? How many great ideas have you had for a business, or a way to make money? If you have ever wondered "Can I do it?". Yes you can and we can help. Orange Nickel will help walk you through your start up, building and long term growth.

Our goal is to get mom's home, working from their kitchen table, getting paid to do what they love.

I know that sometimes we get so invested in our kids, school, communities, church, and jobs that we don't even know what we love anymore. And whats more we have forgotten what we are good at, what we enjoy doing, and how can I market that? We are here to help.

We are going to have interviews from sucessful women that will help you to find what you love again and great options to market and make money with your passion. We don't want you to change your passion from your family and other activities that are important to you; we just want to help you add another passion to your life that will help you make money.

No, we are not able to create more time in your day, make millions your first month, hold your hand through each and every step...we will give you suggestions to manage your time better, find your passion that could be a great kitchen table business and the ABC's in starting from other "Mom business owners" on how they are able to make it.

There are so many woman that start their own kitchen table business that grows into a multimillion dollar business, and many that make an extra couple of hundred a month. You get to decide. You get to decide what will work for you and your family.

I invite you to get involved with our blog. It will be a fun, and information packed that will help you start, build and grow your kitchen table business. Lets start a new revolution here in Utah and spread it around the globe, Getting Paid, Doing what you Love, from your Kitchen Table.
